15.08.2025

Today, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Digital Affairs, and the Office of the President of the Republic honored us with the Violence Prevention Award. Our hearts are filled with pride and joy!
The Violence Prevention Award has been presented since 2017 in cooperation between the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Digital Affairs, and the Office of the President of the Republic. It recognizes individuals who, through their initiative, behavior, or other activities, have made a significant contribution to violence prevention in Estonia.
One of this year’s laureates was also the President Kaljulaid Foundation:
The President Kaljulaid Foundation carries out highly valuable work in the field of intimate partner violence prevention within the private sector by establishing a competence center for employers. To date, 16 reputable Estonian employers have joined their initiative “For a Life Free of Violence,” believing that the workplace plays a key role in reducing violence in Estonia. In 2022, they organized for the first time the conference series “Stronger Together” on intimate partner violence, which has since been recognized among field experts.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed with us to building a society free from violence – to our For a Life Free of Violence members, as well as to the partners of the Orange Campaign, the Stronger Together conference, the Consent Law Forum, and the Misogyny Project.
This award belongs to all of us!
