Südameapteek joins the Initiative
04.04.2025

Südameapteek, which operates 78 pharmacies across Estonia, joined the initiative in April.
"At Südameapteek, we believe that caring starts with ourselves – both with our employees and the community we serve. Nearly 350 women work at Südameapteek, contributing daily to the health and well-being of people in Estonia. It is important to us that they feel safe both at work and at home. Domestic abuse is not just a personal tragedy but a societal issue that also affects the work environment and people’s well-being. By joining the initiative, we affirm our commitment to recognising, supporting, and driving change so that every person can feel safe both at home and at work," said Kristel Saaremägi, Employee Experience Manager at Südameapteek.
"It is inspiring to see that more and more employers recognise their role in creating a safer and more caring society. Südameapteek joining the initiative shows that organisations in the healthcare sector care not only about their clients but also about the well-being of their employees. This is an important step toward making discussions about domestic abuse the norm and encouraging people to seek help," said Triin Adamson, Head of the Initiative.
All employers, regardless of industry or organisation size, are welcome to join the initiative. We invite businesses, non-profit organisations, foundations, and other legal entities that share our values and vision, as well as citizens who are interested in the cause.
