US company Rush Street Interactive, which also has offices in Tallinn and Tartu, joined the initiative for three years as a Beacon Member.
"The statistics on domestic abuse are shocking – they show that in almost every workplace, there may be both victims and perpetrators. As an employer, we understand the significant role we can play in supporting our employees, as we care about their safety and well-being. By joining the this initiative, we are taking an important step towards a safer and more fair society. We have the opportunity to share crucial knowledge and tools with our teams beyond Estonia and turn this initiative into a global program. Raising awareness and providing support enable us to ensure a safe working environment, whose values extend to society. We quite literally have the power to save lives. Therefore, this initiative is not just a program – it is a movement that fosters a more caring and safer society for us all," said Ann-Marii Lääne, DEI Programs & Events Manager.
"We acknowledge all employers who not only understand the scope of domestic abuse but also actively take responsibility for its prevention. We are extremely pleased that an international company like Rush Street Interactive has joined our initiative, bringing this knowledge and awareness beyond the borders of Estonia. We believe that over the next three years, we will not only improve the well-being of our employees in Estonia but also create positive change internationally. We hope that our actions will inspire other nations and organisations to take action in addressing this critical issue," said Triin Adamson, Head of the Initiative.
All employers, regardless of industry or organisation size, are welcome to join the initiative. We invite businesses, non-profit organisations, foundations, and other legal entities that share our values and vision, as well as citizens who are interested in the cause.
